Ranged Weapons

I've never played a more fundamentally broken game than fortnite that is so massively popular, and I played pubg a lot last year. While pubg is a game marred by awful performance and net code, its core gameplay is solid and time tested see battlefield and arma titles so it's faults are not as egregious as epic throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. Epic took nothing from its past games cough gears of war cough multiplayer that would have made fortnite's cartoony gameplay feel better. At the very least they should have used the same short range shotgun, but nah. They also basically ignored any modern shooter improvements, and, you know, simple bullet ballistics that would instantly balance the game around rng meaning fortnite and make it less of a dice roll shit show. Add to that allowing mouse and keyboard support on ps4, and the current meta with shotguns, and fortnite has to be one of the most frustrating experiences in a multiplayer shooter I have ever had. How this game has reached the heights it has boggles the mind. Especially since epic refuses to fix the unfun parts of Fortnite and instead just adds more treadmill loot crap to acquire. As someone who was routinely in the top 1000 in pc pubg, I don't get it. Fortnite reminds me of Battlefield Heroes, basically. Eh, you just don't like its style of gameplay. It's fast paced, plays well, performs well, doesn't take itself seriously, gets constant updates, and despite what some people say, the gunplay is great for its arcadey nature. I'm a bit battled by its stream popularity, at least. But every time I've tried to watch Fortnite usually just cuz they're all over Youtube Gaming it's rather atrocious to watch in contrast. Namely, when people build ramps but they're spinning the camera around to build all over the place like they're having a seizure, or the constant hopping so no one can snipe you. The latter, I'm not sure how prevalent it is or if there's a balance to it, e. But, I guess it's as simple as people watch what they rng meaning fortnite. Then you have the fact that it's free and getting good support from the rng meaning fortnite. It's not only out on 2 out of the 3 major consoles and I'd be surprised if rng meaning fortnite doesn't end up on switch rng meaning fortnite some point but even on phones. For me it's mostly the social aspect. I agree that most are repetitive but when you get to team up with your friends and take on other players it becomes fun. I personally prefer coop games but an enjoyable competitive multiplayer can also be tons of fun. Rng meaning fortnite almost never play online games on my own though. So this also gets a lot more popularity when you can rng meaning fortnite your characters much more. It is more individual Free doesn't mean shit if the game isn't fun. Once you get into a lobby you see how many people are paying money in some amounts to just look good. That is about as ugly as a game gets. All of this is just my 2 cents. Personally, I don't understand the craze about the genre period as I can't really get into either game. Like most things, it's all a matter of opinion of course. It's certainly a situation that contains various pros and cons on both sides. Fortnite being free is surely what is allowing it to become so popular. Not to mention it's monetized right, so players aren't constantly pushed to spend money. Well, and the whole cross-platform thing isn't going to slow down its popularity at all. I just wish I cared more about it as it's the hot thing and its online community is always flowing. Forgive me for any grammatical or punctual errors. That's because the artstyle was mean to be simple and cartoony so it would look great while down resed. If you take a look at Fortnite textures up close, they are clean as hell and the details pop out. Battleborn has amazing style, it's the noisy text, bloom and other bullshit that makes it ugly. Fortnite has so many amazing mechanics and constant free updates pulse grenades, heavy shotgun. I don't see how anyone who enjoys shooters doesn't see the appeal. I'd say stylized over cartoony, and the gameplay from building to most gunplay is solid imho. Battleborn has amazing style, it's the noisy text, bloom and other bullshit that makes it ugly. Fortnite has so many amazing mechanics and constant free updates pulse grenades, heavy shotgun. I don't see how anyone who enjoys shooters doesn't see the appeal. I love shooters and despise these battle Royale games. Moments of action are few and far between and the whole die and restart game is a killjoy. Prefer the more traditional shooters that throw you into intense gun battles than running around looking for them. Feels like a waste of time. Also, the building aspect of fortnite is a huge turnoff. I do enjoy more than fortnite tho; i still try to get into it every few weeks. Edit: I've now played Fortnite and love it. I think you may be thinking of multiplayer games in general like halo or cod were if you dont want to get stuck with a shitty team, dont play with randoms. Fortnite and pubg have modes that only allow only groups of 1, 2 or 4 for solos, duos and squad respectively. In this case, in solo matches groups are forbidden and everyone is on their own. Disagree i didn't even realize even while the launcher said it was a epic game that it was from the unreal makers. But it felt so much like unreal tournament and quake combined, something i missed for a long time. Made it really a good game and more attractive then pugb in my vision. Also free to play helps a ton, so everybody can join. Something new games like battlefield 1 seem to forgot more and more. It also offers a skill level which result in players that practice getting better and on a consisted base outplay other opponents which makes it more interesting to keep in there for a longer time. It also helps that the game is everywhere in the news with this Ninja and Drake guy, which makes playing it easier to probably convince parents as you can make millions out of the game. It basically starts to become a sport at this point. It's really populaire with younger people specifically because of this. Even while i personally don't like it myself, i can see why it's attractive. Epic balances fortnite's weapons with a dice roll every shot for accuracy calculation. That's why kills and deaths feel so random. They had to do this because they are still using hitscan bullets in 2018. Modern games like pubg and battlefield use projectile ballistics so most guns are dead on accurate but the player has to manage bullet drop and travel speed along with dealing with recoil. It also means those games are balanced around skill and not complete luck. Fun fact; Dice put random bullet deviation in bf1 and the community basically hated it so it was mostly removed. Epic's rng guns are an even worse version of Dice's screw up. It just feels bad to be aimed at someone and when you fire the bullet flies 5 feet to right of the target like it does in fortnite. Then the other guy kills you with his bullet because he got the lucky dice roll that fight. If epic would switch to projectile ballistics and get the rng guns out of the game I would change my tune. It's just an archaic and poor design for a game. Other things that would make it better: - reduce the current range of all shotguns by half by massively increasing the spread. I essentially wsnt the halo 2 or gears 1 shotguns, not these long range wonder weapons. Barrel stuffing should be a 1 shot kill still. The color shit is just a dumb hold over from pve.

I will look at handguns, shotguns, and assault rifles. Battle Royale is a game mode based off of Fortnite and its mechanics. Went to the one next door, only weapon was a crossbow from the attic chest. Even while i personally don't like it myself, i can see why it's attractive. Hopefully the changes the devs are actively making put that to bed in the near future. Some of the big-name organizations, including FaZe Clan, Team SoloMid, Red Reserve, and others, have already signed some of the best Fortnite talent of the world. Shroud himself said it in his streams he simply doesn't know the maps, the corners, the spots etc he has to look out for - His godtier aim doesn't help him shit if he isn't aware that someone can look at him through 5 walls from a different level of the map. I will look into just how big of a difference there are is between good a and bad guns and see just how much it really matters when you are head to head against someone. Its like every weapon got multiple spreads, bloom, distance, dmg possiblitys and for me its impossible to adapt even after this time ive spent tryin to do so.
